Course Overview

This two-day Product Owner certification course provides everything you need to be an effective customer to a Scrum team. On completion, participants are registered as Certified Product Owners (CSPOs), which includes a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, (www.scrumalliance.org) where valuable materials and information are available exclusively to CSPOs.

You will learn the essential concepts and tools of Scrum, differences between agile processes and traditional "waterfall" methodologies, and how your particular role as a business customer will change when interacting with Agile teams. Participants will learn how to effectively manage and prioritize product backlogs, plan releases and sprints, track and report progress, and scale Scrum to program-level efforts.

This course is taught by leading Agile practitioners with decades of real-world industry experience at companies ranging from small businesses to the Fortune 100. Exercises, demonstrations, facilitated discussions, case studies, tool and template examples and more are interwoven throughout the course to illustrate the principles being taught in a comprehensive fashion interactively tailored to each class’s particular needs.

$1,395 per attendee (plus travel and expenses for on-sites). Successful attendees receive Scrum training materials and Scrum management software, listing as certified Product Owners on the Scrum Alliance website, and a 2-year membership in the Scrum Alliance. Also, the class is eligible for 16 PDU credits with the Project Management Institute (PMI).

For each class we have 5 "individual" and 3 "hardship" discounts available, given out at our discretion, on a first come first serve basis. Hardship discount (40%)* – If you've been unemployed for 2 months or more.
Individual discount (20%)* – If you’re paying on your own.
PMI or ALN membership discount (15%) – For members of these organizations. (**Note, does not apply to PMI-ACP classes)

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot attend a class you registered for, you can contact us (info@lithespeed.com) and send a replacement at no additional charge. If you need to cancel, the following policies apply:

If we receive more than two weeks notice, you can cancel and receive a full refund or transfer to another class, at no additional charge.
If we receive more than one weeks notice, but less than two weeks notice, you can transfer to another class for an additional $50.00. No refund will be given.
If we receive less than one weeks notice, you can transfer to another class for an additional $250.00. No refund will be given.

Class Videotaping
